Privacy Policy for My10mail

Last Updated: September 26, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to My10mail ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our temporary email service (the "Service").

By using My10mail, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the service.

2. Information We Collect

My10mail is designed to be a privacy-focused service. We minimize data collection to what is essential for providing and improving the Service.

2.1. Mailboxes and usage data

Temporary mailboxes: Free mailboxes need no account. Their contents expire with the mailbox, normally after 10 minutes unless extended. Paid account mailboxes can keep messages beyond the free timer; access depends on an active plan. Limited delivery records and encrypted backups may remain separately.

Usage and network data: Our servers process your IP address to deliver requests, determine an approximate country and city, and enforce short-lived abuse limits. We store a keyed pseudonymous visitor token, not the raw IP address, in our visit and pageview database. We also record browser type, pages visited, and timing. Security error logs and third-party providers may process network information separately.

Language Preference: To provide a localized experience, we store your chosen language preference in a cookie on your device. This information is used solely to display the Service in your preferred language if supported and is not stored with any personally identifiable information.

2.2. Information from Contact Form

If you contact us through the contact form, we retain the name, email address, reason, and message you submit to answer your request. We use your IP address temporarily to limit abuse of the form, without saving it with the contact message.

2.3. Advertising and affiliate links

The website displays clearly marked affiliate banners and links. The Android app may use Google AdMob under its own privacy terms.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and maintain our Service.

To improve, personalize, and expand our Service.

To understand and analyze how you use our Service.

To respond to your inquiries, comments, or feedback submitted through the contact form.

To display clearly marked affiliate offers if enabled on the website.

To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse of our Service.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties, except as described below:

Service providers: Cloudflare handles security and CAPTCHA; Ahrefs and Cloudflare provide site analytics; Google provides Android app advertising and Play billing; Stripe processes website payments. These providers may process information under their own policies when you use the relevant feature.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

Protection of Rights: We may disclose information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

5. Data Retention

Retention: Free mailbox contents expire with the mailbox. Paid mailbox messages are stored with the account; access ends when the plan expires, but automatic deletion of stored paid mail at that point is not currently guaranteed. Deleting an account removes its live account messages. Delivery and usage records and encrypted backups have separate retention periods.

Contact form data: We keep submitted messages to respond to you and for operational records. You may request deletion of eligible data through our contact page.

Usage data: We record visits, pageviews, sessions, browser and device details, approximate location, and operational or security events. Aggregated reports may be retained separately.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The website uses necessary cookies and browser storage to operate. Ahrefs Web Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics provide aggregate usage statistics; optional partner measurement is described below.

Essential storage: We use account or session tokens where needed, a language-preference cookie, and local browser storage for cookie choices and temporary interface state.

Website advertising: Clearly marked affiliate links may take you to a partner website governed by its own privacy policy. If you allow optional NordVPN banner measurement, viewing its banner sends an impression request to NordVPN, which receives your IP address and browser details and may use its own tracking technologies. We do not store the raw IP address for this measurement.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Cookie Settings in the footer lets you allow or reject NordVPN banner measurement at any time. The banner remains visible if you reject it. Our own site analytics are described in this policy.

7. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any information we handle. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we aim to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Free mailbox contents are short-lived. Account messages, operational records, and encrypted backups can remain longer as described above.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

9. Your Rights

You can use free mail without an account and create an account for additional features. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible personal data through your account controls or our contact page.

For information submitted via the contact form, you can request access to or deletion of this data by contacting us.

Consent withdrawal: you can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time via the 'Cookie Settings' link in the footer of the site.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the 'sale' or 'sharing' of personal information. We do not sell personal information. The Android app may display advertising as described below; use your device settings to limit personalized ads.

Brazil (LGPD): if you are in Brazil, you have similar rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

11. Mobile App (Android)

Free mailboxes expire after their lifetime; paid account mailboxes follow the access and retention rules above.

If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password on our servers; your session token is kept securely on your device.

The app displays advertising served by Google AdMob to users without an active plan or the Ad-Free Forever purchase. Google may use advertising identifiers and cookies to serve ads; you can limit personalized advertising in your device settings or remove ads by purchasing Ad-Free Forever.

Premium plans and the Ad-Free purchase are processed inside the app by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of your purchase from Google and never store your payment card details.

We do not sell your personal information. The app may involve Cloudflare for security, Google for advertising and Play billing, and other providers named in this policy.

12. Browser Extension

The My10mail browser extension lets you create disposable addresses and read incoming messages directly from your browser toolbar.

Generated addresses and inbox messages are transmitted to my10mail.com only, for the extension to function. Extension settings and the current temporary address are stored locally in your browser.

The extension uses standard browser APIs (storage, alarms, notifications, scripting) solely for its core purpose. It does not collect or sell personal data beyond what is required to provide the service.

13. Contact Us
